The Volkov Trap

Step 1: Escape Route

First, we need to construct an escape route that cannot be seen and most importantly... cannot be investigated in advance.

Step 2: Misdirection

Next, we need to light candles on the top floor to give the illusion there are guards present... This will shift the focus of the snipers that they will likely have to the top level.

Step 3: Eye Candy

We need something visual and expensive to sell the fact that we are going to be using the roof...

A helicopter. Perfect.

Step 4: Stealth

We need to have a secret room on the first floor, where they wouldn't expect us to be... It also needs to make us invisible to heat scans. We need to line a room with foil.

Step 5: Invitation

We need something to force them into the trap room. We can use sound to attract them... a cell phone recording underneath the foil should do.

Step 6: Insight

Insight, we need to know where the police are at all times. Installing a pattern of mirrors to allow us to see around corners should help.

Step 7: Even the Scales

We will be outnumbered...

A tripwire causing a blinding flash should give us first blood.

Step 8: Darkness

Equip ourselves with night vision and trigger an EMP to simultaneously destroy police communication, turn off all lights, and stop the cell phone from playing sound. This will mitigate police investigation... They'll still find it, but not as quickly.

Step 9: Vanish

From here, if we aren't dead then we have successfully made it out.

You will take the tunnel and come out on the other side of town to where our real aircraft is stationed.

Step 10: Another Double

The police will have figured out that our first aircraft was a decoy, so they won't be looking for an aircraft as your method of escape.

With the tunnel, they'll assume you escaped on foot... but in reality, you will already be in the air.

Criminal's Perspective

Richard Snow: So, you want me in the hidden closet near the entrance, correct? And what happens after the ambush? How does this all end?

Paul Volkov: It ends... in a symphony of darkness.

Richard Snow: So cryptic... I don't even know what that means.

Paul Volkov: Brother, it is done, we have succeeded. You can walk out there, and they won't know better. Just stop outside and smoke a cigarette.

They think our escape is the helicopter on the roof, this will give me ample time to escape through the underground hatch. I'll drop off the tracker here in the corner.

Nikita Volkov: We make a good team, brother.

I may still be arrested, but the evidence they have shouldn't match with me at all, so I should eventually be free.

I've already contacted Blue Eyes. His crew has already fled London. We are the last pieces of the puzzle.

I'll see you in Ukraine, brother. Farewell.

Paul Volkov: Blood for blood... we are one.

Case Story

The plan had succeeded, the final hours for Detective Morgan and Natalie Snow were approaching. Whoever came through the door was going to die. Was it going to be Detective Steel or Detective Morgan?

New Text Message - Unknown Number

A looming darkness lives within us all.

Just remember, when this is all over, it was inevitable.

In time, you will realize you should have never set foot on Crimson Creek's forsaken riverside... because I am everything you can't control.

I'm sure we could have been great friends... in another life.
