Present Day
Nikita: Now it was time for the break-in. I'll tell you about the first location I broke into.
Past
Pavel: Katina, you remember all the details, right? Everything must go as we planned.
Katina: Yes, I'll be ready with the rental car at Nikita's first location, then I'll come to your location, Pavel.
Nikita: It's a simple job, but being on the lookout for potential problems is of utmost importance.
Katina: Well, let's get this party started, boys. I can't wait to have a taste of that sweet 173 million...
Pavel: Alright, I'll see you both soon. Good luck.
*Nikita gets in Katina's rental car*
Nikita: See you on the other side, brother.
The break-in was the fun part.
2
My brother was right, he did see a keypad lock.
I'm sure these keypad locks have tamper switches that will set off an alarm.
I need to disable the tamper switch before entering the building.
Hopefully, the practice lock my brother and I used was the exact same model...
There are screws covering the top of the keypad.
I can't remove them completely or the alarm will go off.
I can only loosen them slightly, and slip the paperclip underneath.
From here, I should be able to pull on the spring to ensure the tamper switch doesn't start an alarm.
Once I keep the spring from releasing, I can remove the metal plate and access the inside of the keypad lock.
Then, I can trigger the egress button to open the door.
This will simulate a person from within the building opening the door.
No alarms will go off from the door being opened from the inside.
Is the egress button disabled? The door should open...
My metal paperclip is touching the metal plate. Why doesn't it open?
*The door unlocks*
Oh. Perfect.
Present Day
Nikita: The keypad lock system worked just like how we anticipated.
Jenna: Interesting. So, you know a lot about locks, too?
Nikita: I know a lot... about a lot of things.
Past
Ha. This is too easy.
Inside City Grill
3
The money is definitely hidden and very-well protected. I know that no one is here at the moment because I made sure to count how many people entered and exited. Now I just need to find the money.
4
Present Day
Nikita: You'll see how I made use of these items later on.
Jenna: The food items in the kitchen?
Nikita: Thinking back, I suppose I could have used some of the tools as well, but... yes, the food items.
Past
I couldn't find any keys in the supply cabinet to use. There are more cabinets though.
- Cabinet 1: Cleaning Agent, Sanitizer, Coffee Machine Cleaner, Degreaser, Drain Opener
- Cabinet 2: Vinegar, Water, Gelatin, Crushed Tomatoes, Syrup
5
There is a padlock stopping me from entering the basement. I'll need to open this lock to investigate this area of the restaurant.
After the lock clicks and the dial becomes difficult to spin, I need to begin turning the dial to the right. While I turn the dial right, I should pull on the shackle. When I pass over the 3rd number, the lock should pop open if I did everything correctly.
6
I'll need to unlock this padlock if I want to see what's behind this door. I'm getting closer to the money; I can feel it.
7
The second padlock was similar to the first.
Had I known there would be so many padlocks, I would have brought a bolt cutter.
None of these boxes resemble the cargo boxes I saw.
Did they place the cash in new boxes?
I suppose they could have moved the money.
But why would they move the money into new boxes?
Did they put the cash in the crates?
Maybe there's more to this...
*You turn around and look past the boxes and crates*
Really? Another locked door?
*You sigh*
Third Locked Door
8
I'll need to unlock this padlock if I want to see what's behind this door. I hope this is the last padlock...
9
I can't believe it, there's so much money here...
We get what we deserve...
Twelve boxes instead of two.
It's my lucky day.
I wonder if my brother found more cash than expected...
It turns out we can give Katina less than 33%!
*You think for a moment*
If I take all of this money, we're going to need as much time as possible to run.
How can I give us more time to escape the country?
Every minute counts.
I need something that will prevent the men from opening the lock.
But they need to not realize the lock has been tampered with.
I'll need to synthesize an adhesive because I don't see any normal glue.
Chemistry sure is useful!
Vinegar + gelatin will create a clear adhesive.
This will prevent the lock from opening. And the glue will be concealed.
They'll never know what hit them.
If only I was here to see their reactions.
