Present Day: Escaping Los Angeles
I've already decided I need to get to the airport, but I also need to remain hidden and probably get rid of this rental car.
There's more breaking news. Apparently, someone was at my apartment.
BREAKING NEWS - 10:05 PM - Los Angeles
An explosion occurred at the Modern Square apartment units.
There was one fatality and authorities have not been able to identify the victim at this time.
Officials warn citizens that this could be connected to the recent bombing at Los Carnales in San Diego. These attacks could be acts of terror against California. We do not know which group or individual is responsible. If you see anything suspicious, call police immediately.
Someone must have triggered some kind of explosive by visiting my apartment unit... but I don't know who would have visited me or entered my apartment.
The police here respond very quickly... They'll find out about my friend, Carl Bane. They'll also find out he rented the apartment for me... At that point, Carl will probably give up my name, but I should have enough time to run.
While I'm in the air, I will send anonymous tips to the LAPD and tell my story.
All I need to do is buy a plane ticket to London. Goodbye, California.
My time is limited. I need to change my appearance and get to the airport.

I'm still in my rental car, but in the interest of time... this would be the fastest way to get to the airport.

This option leaves one key eye witness for the police to find, but it is faster than taking the public buses.

This way the rental company wouldn't get police involved because they would get their car back... if I leave without ever returning the car, the rental company will report a stolen car.

Technically, I didn't do anything illegal, so I think I'm fine once I get to London.

The Sinaloa and Triad might be trying to expand if they aren't operating in the United Kingdom now, but I definitely can't remain here in the United States. Wait, now that I think about it, I think I remember hearing something about the Triad operating in the UK...

If these criminals find my sister... that would be very bad news. I might have to leave London and never return so that Natalie is never found... It's a good thing I got Carl to rent my apartment for me, now whoever planted the bomb there doesn't know my real name.

The rental car will give lots of information about my whereabouts and the Triad knows this vehicle as well...

Police could use street cameras to investigate my real car's past whereabouts which will also give them information I don't want them to have.

I did a good job of hiding my face, so I don't think facial recognition can find me, this will be helpful at the airport.

The police probably think that the person found dead at my apartment is the resident. Since Carl Bane rented it for me, they could think he's dead, but he's not even in Los Angeles. Someone else might have triggered the explosive at my apartment.
