Previously on Murder on Ice...
After providing Sofia's innocence, you were also able to eliminate skating journalist Kingston Lee as a suspect in Nathan LaPalma's murder. Sofia spoke with Kingston to let him know that you found enough information to clear his name. Impressed with your work, Kingston made a deal with Sofia; he will help with the investigation as long as Sofia keeps him updated on everything you find out over the course of the case.
In a show of goodwill, Kingston tipped Sofia off to an important new lead: Harrison Campbell has a secret Birdlr account and there may be all kinds of personal, potentially incriminating, information on his phone.
Hints
Birdlr Password
- You'll have to piece together two important parts of Harrison's career to figure out his Birdlr password.
- Half of Harrison's Birdlr password is a phrase that's very close to his heart.
- The second half of Harrison's password is a number that is very relevant to his career. Keep an eye out for something he'd be proud of.
Birdlr Username
- Although Harrison tries to keep his private account a secret, he sometimes uses it to connect with members of the skating community. Look through the documents for an example of an online commenter who speaks like Harrison.
Logging On
- Check Sofia's letter for the specific task Sofia assigns you. She asks you to figure out Harrison's phone passcode. Head to threepinescase.com and log in using the password TOELOOP. When you're ready to tell Sofia what you've found, you can communicate with her through the site's messenger.
Phone Code
- The code to unlock Harrison's phone is tied to an important element of his everyday life.
- Looking into Harrison's routines will provide some insight into the code.
- Harrison's code can be found in a shape, rather than a sequence.
- Once you have figured out which shape will reveal Harrison's phone code, you must manipulate this shape in a particular way. For a hint as to how to do so, look closely at the item that Harrison would have close at hand while on his phone.
Suspect Elimination
- The documents on Harrison's phone should give you some important insight as to a certain suspect's whereabouts on the day of the murder.
- Try to cross-reference certain information with the security log from Episode 1. Can you prove that anyone was in a specific room at the time of the murder? If you can, that person has an alibi and cannot be the killer.
Reveals
Birdlr Password
- In the written requests, Anne mentions that Harrison came up with a brand slogan that is very important to him. When the business card and card holder are aligned correctly, the designs on their edges align to form the phrase "Soar with Attitude". In the article draft, Anna emphasizes how important it is to Harrison's image that he has won 11 titles specifically. Using social engineering to put together these two relevant details in Harrison's life, you can conclude that Harrison's password is SoarwithAttitude11. Send this Birdlr password to Sofia through the messenger at threepinescase.com in order to advance the story and receive the next objective.
Birdlr Username
- In Lillian and Marcus's emails, Lillian accuses Marcus of calling her a series of unkind things online using the Birdlr username inredge_lord. Marcus denies that he was behind this. In the article draft, Harrison uses the exact same phrasing as inredge_lord to complain about Lillian. Harrison's secret username is inredge_lord. Send this username to Sofia through the messenger on threepinescase.com in order to advance the story and receive the next objective.
Phone Code
- The phone's code is created by replicating the shape of Harrison's current skate routine into a phone's numerical keypad, but flipped upside-down.
- The phone's code is 3259741. Send this code to Sofia through the messenger at threepinescase.com in order to advance the story and receive the next objective.
Suspect Elimination
- In the text screenshots taken from Harrison's phone, Harrison receives a text from Anne of a photograph. This photo shows Anne standing in Nathan's office. The timestamp on the image is 10:12 AM on the day of the murder. Episode 1's security log shows that whoever was in Nathan's office at this time did not leave until 10:17, after the murder had taken place. Anne could not have killed Nathan, as she was not in the rink at the time of the murder. To complete this episode's final objective, send the name "Anne Campbell" to Sofia through the messenger at threepinescase.com.
Hidden Text
Business Card/Card Holder
When the business card and the card holder are aligned correctly, they will form the phrase "Soar with Attitude".

Finale Audio Recording
[Sofia begins recording on her phone. She fumbles while putting it in her pocket for a second before regaining her composure.]
Anne: - three won't work, we'll have to push it. (pauses) Perfect. I'll expect a revised contract by the end of the day tomorrow and I'll circle back once I review the updated terms. Talk later.
Sofia: Hey, Anne. Sorry to interrupt. Are you busy right now?
Anne: If you'll accept some professional advice, opening with an apology makes you look spineless. Just simply ask if I'm available to talk.
Sofia: Okay. Are you available to talk?
Anne: I've got ten minutes until my next call. And I will warn you: I cannot disclose anything about Harrison's business and financial ventures.
Sofia: I'm not really interested in that. I was wondering -
Anne: - you really should be. You know, you could be so much more successful with the right help.
Sofia: I'll... keep that in mind. You were in Nathan's office on the day of the murder, right? At the exact time it was happening. But you didn't tell the police.
Anne: I wasn't - (sighs) And who exactly told you that? Kingston Lee? Harrison?
Sofia: Neither. I found photographic proof.
Anne: I won't bother denying it, then.
Sofia: Since you were in there, did you notice if anything was out of place in the days leading up to the murder?
Anne: Nothing but Nathan's attitude. There was a point when I leaned my head into the room and Nathan slammed this laptop shut. He obviously didn't want me to see what was on that screen. When I asked him about it later, he got visibly nervous and he had the gall to order me out of that room. That wasn't like him. Even in our worst moments, he always took the time to explain to me what he was thinking.
Sofia: Seems like you think he was hiding something?
Anne: Nathan was a brilliant man who cared about my son. He was one of maybe three people who could actually make me laugh. I respected him. Loved him, even. But he could also be thoughtless. He told Harrison about us, even when I told him not to, because he hated secrecy. I've been wondering what it could have been that Nathan, open book that he was, felt the need to hide.
Sofia: That's a really good question, Anne. Thanks for talking with me.
Anne: Yeah, well, if that's all. You have a good day, Sofia.
Sofia: You, too.
[Anne swiftly walks away from Sofia. The sound of a quick pace in high heels on rubber floors fades as Sofia pulls her phone out of her pocket. Once the footsteps disappear, Sofia talks directly into her phone.]
Sofia: If Anne's right, Nathan's computer could show us something really important. Thankfully, his office is pretty much intact. We've got to get in there. I'll be in touch soon. Look out for more in the mail.

Solution
To Access Harrison's Phone
- The written requests mention that all of Harrison's merchandise, including the phone accessory, contains deep personal meanings for Harrison.
- The agenda page singles out that Harrison's current routine is "JS#2" - an annotation that refers to the Jazz Suite #2" piece that is graphed out in the routine evaluations.
- In the routine evaluations, the shape of each routine has been drawn out on a three-by-three grid. These grids correspond to the keypad of a phone.
- However, there is one more step in the process of discovering Harrison's code: the instructions on the phone accessory to turn something upside-down. If the shape of the routine is turned upside-down, it creates an entirely different path of numbers through the keypad. This is the correct pathway.
- This pathway corresponds to the numbers 3259741. This is Harrison's passcode.
- To complete this episode's first objective, open the messenger on threepinescase.com and send the passcode "3259741" to Sofia. She'll respond with a new objective.
To Find Harrison's Username
- In the written requests, Anne mentions that Harrison came up with a brand slogan that is very important to him.
- When the business card and cardholder are aligned correctly, the designs on their edges align to form the phrase "Soar with Attitude".
- In the article draft, Anne emphasizes how important it is to Harrison's image that he has won 11 times specifically.
- Using social engineering to put together these two relevant details in Harrison's life, you can conclude that Harrison's password is "SoarwithAttitude11".
- Open the messenger on threepinescase.com and send the password "SoarwithAttitude11" to Sofia in order to advance the story and receive the next objective.
To Eliminate a Suspect
- The text screenshots, once unlocked, show a conversation between Harrison and Anne that took place on the day of the murder. During this conversation, Anne sends Harrison an image of herself in Nathan's office. The timestamp on this schedule is 10:12 AM.
- Cross-referencing this image with Episode 1's security log will show that an unknown person entered Nathan's office at 10:08 and left at 10:17. Since, according to the autopsy report, the murder took place during this window, whoever was in Nathan's office on the day of the murder has an alibi for the duration of the murder itself.
- Anne could not have killed Nathan, as she was in Nathan's office and not in the rink during the time of the murder.
- To complete the episode, open the messenger on threepinescase.com and send Sofia a message with the name "Anne Campbell". Her response will give you details for the next episode.
Conclusion
- After clearing Anne's name, Sofia sends you finale audio #2, a recorded conversation between her and Anne. In this conversation, Anne reveals that Nathan was frantically hiding something on his office computer from her shortly before he was killed.
- Sofia identifies the case's next objective: to find a way into Nathan's locked office so that she can access his computer and see what he was trying to hide from Anne.
- Sofia plans to send you items that will help you access the locked office. Until then, Detective!
